flegita-gimp software package provides Scanner plugin for the GNU image manipulation program (Meta-package), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install flegita-gimp
flegita-gimp is installed in your system.
Make ensure the flegita-gimp package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep flegita-gimp *
You will get with flegita-gimp package name, version, architecture and description in a table
